  1. Wildcards in filtered stream

Wildcards would be very nice to have in filtered streams: Customers want them, and there is no way to emulate it on our side.

When a query term contains a * character, * would match any character in a tweet, one or more time. When a query term contains a ? character, ? would match any character, exactly one time.

For example, Tw*ter would match Twitter, Tweeter, Twiter, Tweetter.

  2. Add "name" and "screen_name" to the response data of Recent search API

In the published standard search API, these parameters are in a single tweet object.

    ・User object

Screen_name and name are important elements in User Object.
Now we have to expand. This is very inconvenient.

Please add "name" and "screen_name" to the response data.

  3. I'd like the ability to get followers for a user but in a sorted manner.

Right now you can definitely get all the followers of a user, but I want to be able to sort those results by particular properties. So for example, I may want to sort my followers by the number of followers they have, in order to see my most "important" followers.

  4. Add support for "sample" operator

Support for the sample: operator. Many use cases would benefit from random samples. For example, sample:10 would return 10% across each hour...

  7. Be able to get all the retweeters ids instead of the last 100 only

It would be useful to be able to retrieve more than 100 results calling GET statuses/retweeters/ids
The current limitation doesn't make sense.

  8. Add the “order” of the image

Retrieve tweets using Labs’ Recent search API.
I referenced the images in the order included in mediakeys, but obviously not in the order displayed on twitter’s web.
But, the order of the images is not included in media
    keys.

How do I know the order of images if tweet has multiple images attached?

For example, if a manga with a single story is posted with four images, like this:
    (TwitterWebURL)/shiromanta1020/status/917652272804380672
This doesn’t make sense unless you read it in order.

In order to reproduce this “order”, it is necessary to add the “order” of the image as a response…

  9. Add Moments API

I was trying to summarize a conference in a moment with over 64 tweets. Trying to organize those manually moving them up and down 1-by-1 on the site was a pain (as many people tweet things not quite in chronological order of the conference or if you sorted once and want to add more later, it's hard).

It'd be great to expose the API for creating/editing moments so that other tools could help push the experience of capturing events or help to correlate topics and insert into proper places.

  10. Include Reach in metrics API

Include message lifetime reach (unique impressions) and profile-level daily reach metrics for messages. This provides better insight into the number of individuals that saw a specific tweet or content associated with a profile/brand.

  12. Access to Image Crop Information

Is there any plan to allow access to the cropping rectangles that are associated with each media image? These are called focusrects and are nested under the originalinfo property of extended_entities.media and could be passed along with the rest of the media info in the API request.

  15. GraphQL

While I understand the motivation for the separate "expansions" in the GET Tweets endpoint, I wonder if you have considered using GraphQL to allow the user to determine the shape of the tweet data returned?

In adding support for the labs endpoint to twarc [1] I found that I wanted to knit back together the data that is separated out into tweets. If GraphQL was used I don't think this would be necessary.

I would be curious to know if Twitter Labs considered switching to GraphQL for fetching tweets and users.

  16. Geo enrichment

Gnip PowerTrack has a "Profile Geo" enrichment [0].

Adding this to the filtered streams API would make migrations easier.

  17. Create hackathons to empower young people

Identify the needs for self-improvement that young people publish, segmenting them by themes, using sentiment analysis to quantify in percentage the positive perspective they have about it (the negative or neutral could also be deduced), thereby launching collaborative training programs with non-profit organizations

  18. Allow API access to tweet analytics CSVs

Specifically, some kind of way to download the csvs produced by exporting https://analytics.twitter.com/user/[INSERT DATA]/tweets given OAuth read (or even read/write) scope would be really useful

  19. Card Validator: Display all meta-tags?

Description of issue: Could the Card Validator be updated to show all the meta-tags? As it is, it shows the count of metatags, and a somewhat interesting one, like this:

    INFO: Page fetched successfully
    INFO: 23 metatags were found
    INFO: twitter:card = summary_large_image tag found
    INFO: Card loaded successfully

My request: It would be helpful to display all the tags, not just twitter:card.

Extra credit: Highlight the tags that Twitter will actually use in the card. This would be helpful when similar tags are present, e.g., twitter:text:title and twitter:title

URL affected (must be public): https://lochlymelodge.com

    Troubleshooting steps attempted [note

  20. Tweet translation should be available through the API

Build a new request operator that can be included in an API request, and returns a translation of the Tweet text in the Tweet payload. Supported languages should be the same languages that are supported by the "lang:" request operator.
