Extra Rules and Tweet allowance for Filtered Stream.
We have an integration with the Filtered Stream API and on-boarding some private beta customers.
I expect we'll exhaust the number of Rules and volume of Tweets with a handful of customers soon.
Idea: - option(s) to opt into extra Rules/volume of Tweets.
PAYG model would work or having a Premium Filtered Stream API offering please.2 votes
Thanks for the feedback! The packaging available with Filtered Stream will change to respond to the needs of developers once we graduate out of Labs.
If I want to filter for original tweets only I can use -is:retweet and -is:quote, but then I still receive tweets which are discussion replies. I can filter them out manually as a work around by checking for inreplytouserid values in the streams data fields, but having a is:reply entitiy operator would be very useful and save traffic and processing power on both sides.1 vote
Wildcards would be very nice to have in filtered streams: Customers want them, and there is no way to emulate it on our side.
When a query term contains a
*would match any character in a tweet, one or more time. When a query term contains a
?would match any character, exactly one time.
Queries can only contain a limited number of terms and characters. It would be very useful to increase this llimit.2 votes
Thanks for the feedback! We will be increasing rule length once we graduate out of the Developer Labs programme.
Gnip PowerTrack has a "Profile Geo" enrichment .
Adding this to the filtered streams API would make migrations easier.1 vote
From the operator reference , the filtered streams appear to lack the proximity operator, that existed in Gnip PowerTrack.
Having this in the filtered stream API would make it easier to migrate from Gnip.
Additionally, in PowerTrack the maximum proximity value is
6. Increasing this limit would make the operator extra useful.1 vote
Thanks for the suggestion. We are currently considering this. Can you tell us a bit more about why this feature is important to you?
