Please give us the option to remove followers
Instagram have recently given users the ability to remove followers instead of blocking them to remove them. I please request that Twitter also give us this option and not notify the users they have been removed from following us.

Block refinement
Block refinement. At the moment valid, informed discussion on the platform is hampered by the ability of users to block people who disagree with their views. Users should absolutely be able to block other users who are abusive/bullying etc, but not if they are sincerely communicating a difference of opinion, especially if that opinion is backed up with data/information. Twitter's main goal is to "serve the public conversation" and it is failing to this. Follow, block, and mute Introduction
As we build the next generation of the Twitter API, we’re looking at how to rebuild the “follower graph” endpoints. Whether or not you’ve used the follow, search, and get users, or the mute, block and report users endpoints, we want to hear what you think. This is an effort to continue building in the open: sharing our roadmap and keeping you updated on our vision. Ability to unfollow a private user who has not yet accepted an invitation
This is a follow up request from https://twittercommunity.com/t/bug-unfollow-private-user/130365.
The Twitter API currently does not offer any way to stop a follow request to a private user.
This prevents some automation workflow from happening.1 vote
