Twitter Developer Feedback

Developer Policy

Twitter's Developer Policy is intended to be a clear and comprehensive guide to help people understand our rules and expectations about appropriate API and Twitter data usage. Have ideas for how we can improve it in the future? We'd love to hear from you, and just ask that you limit your suggestions to those pertaining to the Developer Policy, and follow the steps below.

  1. Check to see what other ideas have been submitted and vote for ideas you like.
  2. If you have an idea that isn't already listed, create a new post.
  3. Include only one idea per post.
We will periodically review the suggestions and if we decide to take action on any of them, we'll update the status of the idea. Thank you!

  1. Specify criteria for DM approval

The terms of Twitter says that when sending a DM to a user via the Twitter API, you must obtain the user's permission.
I agree with this rule, but the criteria are not specified.
The rules say that the followings are not the permission.
    1. Mutual follow
    2. DM can be sent
Now, specify which other method to use for authorization.
