  1. Reference Tags

It would be helpful if you create what I call "reference tags" that point to the original tweet that was made. This tag would appear next to or below the statistical readings (Retweets, Quote tweets and likes) and/or "Replying to @a @b @c [tag]." In case of indentation issues, maybe it's safe to add a line underneath the display of a tweet to show the tag. It's up to you guys. Oftentimes, we get a tweet but don't know what users are replying to, so these tags will link to the original tweet that was made, even when a user…

  3. Allow RSS readers to read the RSS feed

Currently when an RSS reader tries to download https://twittercommunity.com/c/announcements/22.rss you can get a 403 forbidden message. See this issue in NetNewsWire for details. https://github.com/Ranchero-Software/NetNewsWire/issues/3370

  5. Allow Team members to edit settings of a project or standalone app

According to the docs https://developer.twitter.com/en/docs/projects/overview, it appears that only an App owner (the creator?) can edit the settings of an app. Why?

Any team member with an Administrator role should be able to edit the settings of an app. What if the owner is unavailable/incapacitated and cannot make a required change?

  7. Academic Profile

    Good day,

I am doing a dissertation on Twitter sentiment and I am unable to gain access to an academic profile. Is there any way you will be able to assist me with this?

  8. Manually set rate limiting in effect for development purposes.

It would be nice to be able to set a particular api call as being rate limited so that we can perform testing on when rate limits are encountered. ie exception handling, etc.

Right now, we've got to actually violate the rate, probably get flagged somewhere as being a bad actor, and then get a whack at testing a run...then wait....It's quite expensive in man hours without this feature.

It really be nice to do this on an api call by call basis.

  10. Improving the media button

Twitter has much improvement potential in the media section.

The only way you can see older tweets with media content is by endlessly scrolling down, imagine having a tweet from years before, only way to see it is by scrolling.

At first, a grid view section next to the media button can be introduced.

  11. my api access

I sent request for api access a week ago and I can't see any status on my page.
How could I know the status of the request or if there is something wrong with the request itself

  15. Developer portal can't create app

In the developer portal I have 1 app, and I don't seem to be able to create any more. There is no Create App button throughout the portal. If this is blocked due to not being an 'authorised' developer account, there seems to be no way to check my account status, and the documentation doesn't suggest there's a 1-app limit.

  17. Dev Accounts

Currently, the only way to test (or use) the twitter API is with creating a twitter account and authorize the app on that account.
However, we have recently encountered an issue with the dev account being suspended (I presume for not unlocking it with a phone number after a while?). The account rarely posted anything and doesn't follow or perform any spam actions, it was mostly for reading data (dev purposes).
Ideally, developers should specify dev accounts associated with their app, so twitter can clearly identify them as being automated, and not suspend them for being automated!

  19. Dark Theme

It would be nice to have a dark theme for the developer portal. It’s a bit unpleasant using the portal with the large amount of stark white space.
