  1. Update Twitter API Client for Node.js

There's a new Twitter API Client for Node.js available:
    https://github.com/Silind/twitter-api-client

    Let me present it:
    - Includes 90% of the official Twitter API endpoints.
    - Promise-based! No ugly callbacks.
    - Fully typed! Both for query parameters and responses.
    - Inbuilt in-memory cache for rate-limit friendly usage.

The best alternative currently, is 'twit'.
It hasn't been updated in 3 years, and it doesn't take advantage of modern technologies like TypeScript and ES6+ capabilities.

I think twitter-api-client deserves a spot on the "Twitter API Tools & Libraries" page.

I announced the release of this new client 3 days ago, and the community is…

  2. Provide full list of domains and entities used in NER context annotation

It would be great if you could provide a full, fine-grained list of all of the domains and entities that are used to annotate context. Currently, some of these are listed in the documentation but there are many more that are only discoverable by retrieving tweets and seeing what context_annotations data is associated with them. Having the full list would be really helpful for academic research.

  3. Add Twitter for Laravel / PHP Library

atymic/twitter is an established API client for both the twitter v1.1 and v2 APIs. It supports both Laravel and other frameworks and has been developed over at least 5 years.

There is currently no other libraries listed that support v2 for PHP :)

  4. Sample code in R

Please provide more sample code in R. The current resources cater mainly to users of other programming languages. Thank you!

  5. I would like more feedback on the feedback.

Most feedback in the feedback gets no response. It would be helpful to know that it was read, is being considered, is being ignored, etc.

  6. Provide Early Pricing Models

Can you please post preliminary thoughts on pricing similar to what is posted here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/pricing/search-30day

Given the new limitation of 500k tweets per project, it seems the new API is geared toward pushing projects to pay for API access. It would be good to have a sense of what that is going to cose.

  7. Live API Docs

Automatically generates interactive API documentation for every connected data source. Live documentation allows you to try out different parameters and see the request and response before building an application.

  8. Consistently use components in OpenAPI spec

    https://api.twitter.com/2/openapi.json
At least in version 2.21, many components contain properties that are or should be identical, and many more are hidden inside other components, making them hard to reference by name.

    Some examples:
    - #/components/parameters/PaginationTokenRequestParameter defines a schema for strings of length >= 1, but there's no way to programmatically know that next_token and previous_token from response objects refer to the same type. In contrast, Tweet and user IDs are mostly consistent about referencing #/components/schemas/TweetID and /UserID, respectively.
    - As the previous point alluded to, the endpoints that want a user ID in the request body, POST /2/users/{id}/blocking, …

  10. Government / non-profit / journalist product track

The product tracts seem to be missing a category of user that does not fall into the categories provided: government / non-profit users / journalists. These users are not businesses, and often work with academic partners.

  11. Clarification on connection between twitter account, developer account, and organizations

It's difficult to understand the connection between product tracts and my personal account. It would be nice to have clarification here: https://developer.twitter.com/en/products/twitter-api/early-access/guide#item1

It's not clear if I'm applying for access as a person or as an organization, and how / if the the two are connected. As a person I expect to have various interactions with the API which could be classified as personal, work related, or academic. Should I set up a new twitter handle for requesting access?

Github, for example, has clear definitions and boundaries for users which makes it easy to manage and engage. I know that…
