In addition, Twitter’s should also consider the opposite as an effect of users leaving the platform. Twitter’s method for determining inappropriate Tweet’s is a failure! It does not consider an individual’s references to actual news article published by mainstream media and published on Twitter media pages. If media publishes an absurd article and a user references it’s absurdity without linking to the media page, the Tweet is often flagged as a violation. Twitter’s inability to determine context of a user’s statement or the nature being unharmful satire is alarming and puts otherwise well intended, productive users with a positive Tweet history in an underserved time out. Users WILL begin to seek out alternative platforms if they fear being over scrutinized or erroneously labeled and punished for benign content or expressing hate free humor.

I see many good points here in making Twitter posts safe and accurate but I’ve seen NOTHING about improving Twitter’s system of erroneous account limitation/suspension when users referencie actual news articles published by national media on Twitter, individuals using satire that is neither misinformation or harmful, proper understanding of context within a Tweet, etc. Twitter must improve the ways it determines alleged violations and provide timely reinstatement when the user has provided proper proof. It would also benefit both Twitter and the user if the nature of the user’s past Tweets were taken into account before incorrectly labeling and limiting productive user.

How about also immediately removing account limitation when the user has provided proof of Twitter’s error?
